Note: Enabling Camera and Location Access on your Web Browser

To conveniently register a device using the QR code scanner and conveniently select the device's location on a map, you must enable Camera and Location Access in your web browser.

  • Camera Access: Allows the system to scan the QR code on your device for quick and accurate registration.

  • Location Access: Enables easy selection of your device's location on the map.

If you encounter any issues, please check your browser settings to ensure these permissions are granted. For additional help, refer to the step by step instructions below.

How to Enable Camera and Location Access in Your Browser

Google Chrome (Mobile)

  1. Open the Chrome app on your mobile device.

  2. Visit the page where you need to scan the QR code or select a location.

  3. When prompted, tap Allow for both Camera Access and Location Access.

    • If no prompt appears:

      1. Tap the lock icon or settings icon in the address bar.

      2. Select Site Settings.

      3. Enable Camera and Location access by setting them to Allow.

  4. Refresh the page and retry.

Google Chrome (Desktop)

  1. Open Chrome on your computer.

  2. Go to the page where you need to scan the QR code or select a location.

  3. When prompted, click Allow for both Camera Access and Location Access.

    • If no prompt appears:

      1. Click the lock icon in the address bar.

      2. In the dropdown menu, set Camera and Location to Allow.

  4. Refresh the page and retry.


Safari (iOS/Mobile)

  1. Open Safari on your mobile device.

  2. Navigate to the page where you need to scan the QR code or select a location.

  3. When prompted, tap Allow for Camera Access and Location Access.

    • If no prompt appears:

      1. Open your device Settings.

      2. Scroll down and select Safari.

      3. Tap Camera and Location, then set both to Allow or Ask.

  4. Refresh the page and retry.


Safari (Mac/Desktop)

  1. Open Safari on your Mac.

  2. Visit the page where you need to scan the QR code or select a location.

  3. When prompted, click Allow for Camera Access and Location Access.

    • If no prompt appears:

      1. Go to Safari > Settings from the top menu bar.

      2. Select the Websites tab.

      3. Find Camera and Location in the sidebar.

      4. Set access to Allow for the current website.

  4. Refresh the page and retry.


Troubleshooting

  • If access settings do not save, ensure your browser is up to date.

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then retry.

  • Check your device's overall privacy settings to ensure the browser has permission to access the camera and location.

Gateway

Currently, Verdi Base Stations cannot be added to the Verdi Dashboard. To setup your device, see the Gateway hardware documentation. This process will not require Dashboard access.

Controllers & RTUs

Log into the Verdi Dashboard by navigating to app.verdi.ag. If you have multiple AOIs, select the appropriate AOI.

Click Add Device.

Scan the QR code on the front of the device to populate the Enclosure ID field. You can also type this manually in Device ID. Confirm IDs then click Next. If you do not see the camera viewfinder make sure the web browser you are on has camera permissions enabled in your web browser for URL app.verdiag.com.

Select your Device. Sprout Single Valve Device and Sprout Dual Valve Device should only be assigned to Verdi Micro-Block Controllers. Sprout Block Valve should be assigned to Verdi Block Controllers that control at least a valve. These unit may also control adjacent sensors (pressure, flow, etc.). Sprout Sensor Only can be assigned to Verdi Block Controllers and Verdi Micro-Block Controllers when they are only connecting a sensor (pressure, flow, soil monitoring, etc.). For Verdi SDI-12 Remote Telemetry Units, only Dragino EC sensor and SDI-12 Node (Dragino) should be assigned.

Click Next.


Select the location on the map of the device by clicking to move the green dot. The blue dot appears representing your GPS location and can be a helpful guide. If you do not see the blue dot make sure the web browser you are on has location tracking permissions enabled for URL app.verdiag.com. Click Next.


On the final screen, select the zone(s) on the map that this valve irrigates or to which this sensor should be assigned. Selected zone(s) will be highlighted green. Assign this device a name; however, it is not required and can be done later. If you have connected a sensor physically to your device, you can specify the appropriate sensor from the drop down menu. Click Save.

You have now added a device to your Verdi Dashboard. To ensure ASAP device and data uplink/downlink, follow all steps from the hardware installation guide.

Pump Controllers

To setup aVerdi Block Controllers that controls a pump in the Verdi Dashboard, follow all the steps from Controllers & RTUs. This device will be a Sprout Block Valve and will be initially assigned its own zone. Once the device is added, open its Device Card by clicking on the device icon. Click Edit Connected Zones and select on the map all zones serviced by this pump; connected zones will be highlighted. Click Save Edits when finished.

Now when irrigations are scheduled via the Schedule feature for zones connected to this device, theVerdi Block Controller will signal the pump to simultaneous to turn on/off when necessary.
