To configure a Verdi Block Controller that is wired to a flow meter via a Sensor Adapter (required for flow meter wiring), follow the procedure:
In the Map View, click the Device Marker of the Block Controller that is wired to the flow meter.
Scroll to the bottom of the Device Card and click on “Device configuration”.
Scroll down to the “Sensor connections” header and click on “S2” to open the “S2 Sensor Settings”.
Click on the “Sensor type” drop-down and select your flow meter model or select “Generic Flowmeter (Unknown)“
If you selected “Generic Flowmeter (Unknown)“:
Scroll down to the “Sensor parameters” header.
Find the K-factor and offset from the datasheet of your flow meter.
Enter K-Factor. Note that a unit change of K-factor changes the units for Flowrate.
Enter Offset. Note that Offset should have units “pulse/min”.
Click “Save settings“..png?sv=2022-11-02&spr=https&st=2026-04-01T18%3A49%3A45Z&se=2026-04-01T19%3A00%3A45Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=791xY43QA1RomsZnOr0NOhMNe9tzWquKSw7HnCBJhgk%3D)
The following equations can be used to troubleshoot Generic flow meters:
Frequency (pulse/min) = Flowrate (L/min or Gal/min) ÷ K-factor (L/pulse or Gal/pulse) − Offset (pulse/min)
The equation can be re-arranged: Flowrate (L/min or Gal/min) = (Frequency (pulse/min) + Offset (pulse/min)) * K-factor (L/pulse or Gal/pulse)
