Field / Area of Interest (AOI)

Fields or Areas of Interest (AOIs) represent individual farm sites within your account. AOIs are illustrated as blue outlines on your map. An account can have multiple AOIs all of which will be accessible through the All Fields dropdown menu on the top right of your dashboard.

Zone

Zones represent irrigation blocks within your AOI. Zones are illustrated as green outlines on your map. An AOI can have multipe zones.

Device

Devices represent locations of valves, pumps, and sensors within your AOI. Devices are illustrated by icons (valves , sensors ) on your map. A zone can have multiple devices. A device can be connected to multiple zones. Depending on the device, it can be connected to a single or multipe valves, pumps, and sensors.

There are several types of devices in the Verdi ecosystem:

Verdi Base Station
Verdi Block Controller (valves, pumps, sensors)
Verdi Micro-Block Controller (valves, sensors)
Verdi SDI-12 Remote Telemetry Unit (sensors)
3rd-Party IoT Sensors
