18ft Fiberglass Push-Up Mast

Prev Next

Elevating antennas in wireless systems like Verdi is crucial to maximizing range. Verdi has field-tested many products on the market and recommends the following push-up fiberglass mast from American manufacturer Max-Gain Systems. This product [MK-4-UHD] is available for purchase directly from Verdi or from Max-Gain Systems.

The Max-Gain Systems’ Fiberglass push-up masts are made of the highest quality pultruded fiberglass tubing and with a massive 1/8 inch wall thickness. The Quik-Clamps, which are designed to use with their fiberglass tubing, use a proprietary stainless steel reverse double helix screw and a matching nylon thumb lever to create great holding power while being extremely easy to use.

These masts won’t snap in high winds when used as recommended; however, they will deflect on the order of inches to feet. Keep components with large surface areas, such as the solar panel, as low as possible on the mast to reduce deflection in high winds. The only thing that should be mounted on the top section is the Verdi Gateway antenna.
